Bridge inspection and repair training

On 20–25 July, in collaboration with the International Road Federation (IRF Global) and Franchetti Spa, we organised a training course on bridge inspection and repair for leading engineers in Kazakhstan, led by the highly experienced Michele Frizzarin. The course focused on practical approaches to assessing the condition of bridges, planning maintenance, selecting repair works, life-cycle management, safety and the use of data-driven tools to improve the performance and sustainability of the network. Enhancing the professional development of Kazakhstan’s engineering community has always been the primary mission of the Kazakhstan National Association of Professional Engineers and Consultants, and this training course was an excellent event that marked another step forward in creating a sustainable, reliable and safe infrastructure in Kazakhstan. The training was intensive, featuring engaging discussions, the sharing of experiences, the exchange of ideas and a commitment to improving the quality of bridge construction and operation in Kazakhstan, Italy and other countries.
